October 27, 2023 - Update

The process has solidified the notion that most of Leslie Groves Park is appropriate for natural habitat and carefully planned recreational pathways, while the central developed portion of the park is appropriate for sports and organized recreation.

We plan to pause the current public engagement process while we process information received to date, allowing us time to adjust our graphics accordingly.

Leslie Groves Park is a beloved amenity providing natural habitat and recreational opportunities for residents. There is no rush to develop a plan. We look forward to re-engaging with the public soon and ultimately developing a plan that represents our citizens.

Open House #1 - June 28, 2023

City staff and consultants with MT-LA met with citizens at Leslie Groves Shelter #1 to gather initial public input for Leslie Groves Park Long Range Plan.

Open House #2 - July 26, 2023

City staff and consultants again met with citizens at Leslie Groves Shelter #1 to share the input recieved from the first open house and present initial images of potential draft plans and options, which were separated into three sections (North, Central and South).

Open House #3 - Sept. 27, 2023

City staff and consultants meet again with citizens at Richland Community Center (moved from Leslie Groves due to weather). Meeting summaries from previous meetings were shared to attendees to view all feedback provided to date.

A revised draft plan was shared and additional public input was received.
